Senator Ted Cruz relies on two essential political elements to keep his “conservative” ruse afloat. The first is that people don’t follow “unanimous consent” passages in the Senate; the second is that people don’t follow “cloture votes” – Both of which are never recorded “roll call votes”, and allow candidates to obscure their intent and later claim a counter position.

It’s a good trick, and indeed fools almost everyone.  Unless, that is, you’re tracking them while they occur…

Red Circled Candidates All Support Trans-Pacific Trade Agreement (TPP)

CASE IN POINT – HR2146 (TPA “Trade Promotion Authority” or “Fast Track”): This House Bill #2146 originating April 30th ’15, became the vehicle for passage of Trade Promotion Authority (TPA) for the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) trade deal.

HR2146 was originally introduced in the House of Representatives as a bill to address issues with retirement funds of federal law enforcement officers and firefighters.

BACKSTORY – In the beginning of the congressional session, with Republicans now in control of both the House and Senate, in Feb-March-April of 2015,  Senator Ted Cruz and House Ways and Means Chairman, Representative Paul Ryan, supported Trade Promotion Authority being added to HR2146.

Remember Mississippi ?

The professional apparatus of the Republican Party are signaling their intent to do exactly what we predicted they would do.   Trump will win the primary, and the GOPe will split the party to run an additional candidate in the general election.

It’s not Trump going third party – It’s the establishment GOP (GOPe) intending to go third party.   They are planning a modified version of the Mississippi Strategy from 2014.

In order to pull off the “Mississippi Plan” nationally, and specifically because of the ideological severity which will be obvious within their approach, the GOPe need to begin planting the seeds of intent now within the various camps they’ll need to support them.  We’ll explain.

Most people are unaware that back in 2014 conservative Senate Candidate Chris McDaniel defeated incumbent Republican Senator Thad Cochran in the Mississippi primary.  However, it was a three-way race and McDaniel didn’t get past the 50% +1 threshold.

McDaniel did defeat Cochran in the first Republican primary, meaning he got more votes, but a second run-off primary was required because the 50% threshold was not achieved.

Between those two primary races is when the professional apparatus within the GOP/RNC hatched a plan, and kicked the plan to action.    (more…)

Imitation is the GOPe’s sincerest form of flattery…

A leaked NRSC memo (full pdf below) written by executive director Ward Baker discusses the Donald Trump phenomenon and instructs republican candidates to tap into The Trump, but don’t mimic the controversial stuff.

The memo is interesting because of the timing of when it was written (September 22nd), which is post GOP debate #2 (Operation Hummingbird – CNN Jake Tapper debate where all candidates were pitted against Trump 9/16),  and the content within it.

Essentially the memo tries to instruct GOPe candidates how to accept the seismic shift in the political landscape.   It also urges them to adopt many of Trump’s tactics, issues and approaches including adjusting the way they dress and how they use Twitter to engage genuine support from ordinary citizens.

…”[…] Avoid Washington-speak (legislation, bills, insider talk) in favor of Main Street common sense. And, tell your communications and media teams to up the vibe and change the look. Voters are on to you when you do the standard walk and talk through a business, school, or factory”…

Wow.  Earlier this morning House Speaker Paul Ryan announced his confidence that a $1.1 TRILLION Omnibus spending bill will pass prior to December 11th – See Here.

Now word comes of a ‘Five-Year’ Highway Spending deal just North of $300 billion – Here’s the bill pdf ( <– warning 1,300+ pages):

WASHINGTON DC – Lawmakers are on track to clear a massive transportation infrastructure bill as soon as this week, a legislative coup a decade in the making that will give new House Speaker Paul Ryan something to crow about.

Negotiators from both chambers of Congress tasked with hashing out a final deal are set to announce an agreement Tuesday afternoon after a majority of conferees signed off on the package, setting the stage for the mammoth deal to move through the House and Senate this week, ahead of this Friday’s deadline. As expected, the bill also includes a provision to revive the Export-Import Bank, an export-promoting agency that expired last summer amid attacks from conservatives who said it provides corporate welfare and promotes crony capitalism. Oh, how it pains the GOPe to see their plans gone asunder.   In a transparent play to keep Carson viable, and with the increased sunlight outlining the evidence of a campaign with social media presence only, Karl Rove steps in to give the Carson quick-assist…

It is glaringly obvious how much the cocktail class GOPe think the base of the conservative movement is stupid.  The republican party apparatus genuinely believe that people don’t know what their intents and purposes are.  Insufferable, yet simultaneously quite funny.

(Via Bloomberg)  Republican strategist Karl Rove helped set up a meeting between top fundraisers for Ben Carson and casino mogul Steve Wynn.

Rove confirmed to Bloomberg Politics that he acted as the go-between for the Carson camp and Wynn, a sometimes business competitor of Donald Trump, the rival Carson has been batting all fall for the Republican nomination.

“I introduced them but I don’t know anything further about that,” said Rove, who added that he did not attend the meeting. (more…)

The 2010 SCOTUS ‘Citizens United’ decision injected unlimited financial funding into politics via Super-PACs.  Conservatives were screwed, but it took most a long time to come to the awakening.  As a direct result the broader electorate was non longer needed for financial support – evidenced in the 2012 and 2014 campaign spending cycles.

More specifically this unlimited Wall Street spending influence is the root cause of several current presidential candidates remaining in the race. 

Without Super-PACs funded by Hedge Funds, Billionaire Globalists, and self-interested corporations: Carly Fiorina, Marco Rubio, Chris Christie, John Kasich, Lindsey Graham, Mike Huckabee, Jim Gilmore and George Pataki would not currently be in the race.

Similarly, Jeb Bush would be soon to exit, and either Ben Carson or Ted Cruz, but not both, would be candidates.

Now Mitch McConnell is moving to put the GOPe Party back into direct control via a new proposal to remove campaign limits and allow Wall Street to fund Republicans directly without going through SuperPacs.

The basic problem is the removal of financial dependency by the electorate they are supposed to represent.  The voter influence has already been replaced (Citizens United), the consideration now is who gets to be the arbiter/broker of the financial power.   (more…)

The ground effort to destroy Donald Trump begins today in Ohio where several GOPe operatives and advance teams have been positioned to drum up antagonistic protesters and coordinate activity aimed to target Trump.

In addition Matt David, the spokesperson for the Kasich Super-PAC “New Day for America”, is now publicly reporting that both Team Bush and Team Rubio donors have pledged financial support to the effort to tear down front runner Donald Trump.

The upper echelons within the Wall Street financially-dependent corporate media have also held their meeting to coordinate how they will distribute and promote the anti-Trump narrative.

Most of the self-interests within the republican side of the professional political establishment have now united:  Wall Street (financiers), Ground Troops (via campaign teams), and Corporate Media (messaging/optics).

Tonight, as incredulous as it sounds, Professional Republicans begin a full month long assault upon the front runner of their own party.  (more…)
