White House Press Secretary Jay Carney comes back to the podium. He’s been in hiding for 15 days while the administration tried to duck questions on Libya, and they coordinated a collective message about how to talk about Benghazi without being caught in the lies they had previously stated.
ABC News’ Jake Tapper grilled White House press secretary Jay Carney today on the administrations response to attacks on US Embassy in Benghazi, “Didn’t President Obama shoot first, and aim later?”
The congressional hearing on the Benghazi, Libya Consulate attack is schedule for today at Noon Eastern.
The hearing will be broadcast on CSPAN and also Live Streamed HERE

This is unreal. Seriously, unreal. Everytime I think the Obama administration cannot go any lower on the intellectually honest scale they find new ways to lower the bar. There is no longer daylight visible between the bar and the dirt.
WASHINGTON (AP) — The State Department said Tuesday it never concluded that the consulate attack in Libya stemmed from protests over an American-made video ridiculing Islam, raising further questions about why the Obama administration used that explanation for more than a week after assailants killed the U.S. ambassador and three other Americans. (it goes on)
Stop – Wait… wha? The State Dept never concluded the attack was from protests? Huh?

Meanwhile The Obama Campaign is focused on Big Bird….
The State Department is coming under more scrutiny ahead of anticipated hearings scheduled for tomorrow. Request for additional security fell on deaf ears, and despite State Dept claims there were no protests in front of the consulate in Benghazi. The Democrats are petrified of the impact on the election, desperate to protect President Obama, and are attempting rabid obfuscation:
The Congressional Hearing will be streamed live tomorrow at noon on the web – AVAILABLE HERE
(Reuters) – A U.S. security officer formerly stationed in Libya has told lawmakers he sent two cables to the State Department requesting more security agents for the American mission in Benghazi but received no response.
The officer, Eric Nordstrom, also said that a State Department official, Charlene Lamb, wanted to keep the number of U.S. security personnel in Benghazi “artificially low,” according to a memo summarizing his comments that was obtained by Reuters. (more…)
Cudos to CBS’s Sharyl Atkinson and whistleblower DoD Security Official Col. Woods
For over 18 months we have been outining the al-Qaeda network in Libya that put the squeeze on Gaddafi, took over Benghazi, and aligned with the Muslim Brotherhood on the Egyptian border. Here is a brief summary of our cited research and the new Pentagon report at the end.

Wow, this is going to leave the progs in a tenuous position. You might remember CBS’s Lara Logan from the brutality she suffered when she was sodomized, gang raped and beaten by the media supported “freedom fighters” in Egypt’s Tahrir Square.
The progs exalted Lara Logan for her bravery, courage and her journalism. Now she speaks out about the rabid savagery that has become the Middle East, the rise and resurgence of al-Qaeda, and the determined Islamists who have come back into power over the last two years as a direct consequence of President Obama’s failed policies.
CHICAGO – This was no ordinary rubber chicken affair. That was my reaction to the extraordinary keynoter at Tuesday’s Better Government Association annual luncheon.
Lara Logan, a correspondent for CBS’ “60 Minutes,” delivered a provocative speech to about 1,100 influentials from government, politics, media, and the legal and corporate arenas. Such downtown gatherings are a regular on Chicago’s networking circuit. (I am a member of the BGA’s Civic Leadership Committee, and the Chicago Sun-Times was a sponsor).
Her ominous and frightening message was gleaned from years of covering our wars in the Middle East. She arrived in Chicago on the heels of her Sept. 30 report, “The Longest War.” It examined the Afghanistan conflict and exposed the perils that still confront America, 11 years after 9/11. (more…)
Drip…. Drip…. Drip….. The Truth comes forth. Turning that spigot to brutally honest mode is the job of Congress now. Jason Chaffetz went to Libya over the weekend to gather information prior to the Congressional hearings scheduled for Wed, this week.
(Daily Beast) Just two days before the 9/11 anniversary attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, two leaders of the Libyan militias responsible for keeping order in the city threatened to withdraw their men.
The brinksmanship is detailed in a cable approved by Ambassador Chris Stevens and sent on the day he died in the attack, the worst assault on a U.S. diplomatic mission since the 1979 hostage crisis in Iran. The dispatch, which was marked “sensitive” but not “classified,” contained a number of other updates on the chaotic situation on the ground in post-Gaddafi Libya. […] (more…)
