Bring It !! ….. “Go Issa, Go Issa” (Daily Caller)- The Obama administration snubbed top GOP oversight official Rep. Darrell Issa on his first major document deadline as new chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, sending a short letter promising to comply in response to a major information request that was due Saturday at noon. (via Ad rem) Yeah….that little critter on the left is the one they’re all making a fuss about. He’s not much to look at, but he’s really a lot smarter than he looks. He’s got everybody fooled into thinking he’s the weatherman!
He’ll emerge from his burrow on Feb. 2nd., and if it’s cloudy he’ll tell you that winter’s almost over. If it’s sunny when he comes out, and he sees his shadow…he’ll run back into his burrow screaming, “Six more weeks of winter!”
Now I tell you… who else could earn a living doing something as silly as that?
Lets get down to doing something that’s really important, and start on building that Treehouse.

I have long felt that life is like a series of links in a chain. You might be driving down the road and you hear a song on the radio, or see a picture, and you feel a memory,…. something that reminds you of a different time and place than where you are right now. You reflect. The memories you consider remind you of a totally different place in your life. Perhaps you lived in a different place. Perhaps you were surrounded by different people. Perhaps a different job or completely different friends. You recognize those memories were constructed like frozen moments in time. They become individual links in the chain in your life.  (more…)

Great to see ya’ll.  Really Great.  Gather up cozy like and share the blankies, while we warm the toasty smores.  There’s plenty of room in the treehouse, but we’ve got some cleaning up to do before we get to unpackin’ the toothbrushes.
The reason ya’ll are assembled here ain’t because of the likes of me.  It’s because ya’ll like each others company.  Each of you enjoys a little community of peeps, and you’ll share your flashlights on the path so each can find their way safely.  Look to your left, and your right, and you’ll find a great friend to lean on, laugh with, and cherish.   That is what brought you to this place.  Remember that.   Sometimes things seem weird, and uncomfy, and yes at times a good screamin’ is needed, it clears the air.   Like sittin’ on the porch listenin’ to the neighbors have at each other, it can be unsettling.  But, if you know em’ well, you know that is just life, and tomorrow they might just be listenin’ to your version.  (more…)

OK, we’ve got the treehouse.  Hope the name is cool with everyone.  “The last refuge” was not available as a webhosting address.  So I just hurridly picked the conservative treehouse.
Everyone here so far is Admin.  I think….. flip I dunno how to do this stuff, but I think I did that part right.  Ya’ll need to confirm that please.
When Stella shows up she will be too.
Ad Rem, you start setting up the page format with all the goodies we loved and liked.
Damn good to see everyone.  Soon, as we get situated we can order pizzas and sit on boxes to clear the air on stuff.    God Bless you all.  Very happy to see you guys.
