Theft of Tide detergent has become so rampant that authorities from New York to Oregon are keeping tabs on the soap spree, and some cities are setting up special task forces to stop it. Remember when Rep. Alan Grayson (D-Fla.) warned Americans that “Republicans want you to die quickly” during an after-hours floor rant? I wonder what he was thinking when he slammed his Mercedes into the back of that city bus injuring two people? He was on his way to an $1,000 dollar-a-plate fundraiser. I guess you can never get to one of those too quickly. (BTW…does Mercedes make an electric car?)
Okay….he IS getting good. He likes grits AND he can recite the words to Davy Crockett! I am, however, a little confused about what’s happening with the cockroach stomping at the end though. Is cockroach stomping a southern thing? Somebody fill me in….
You gotta love it! Last week, Sleep Train packed up their mattresses and flounced off the Rush Limbaugh Show in full faux outrage over the Sarah Fluke comments. Today they came crawling back to Limbaugh begging him to take them back as an advertiser. To our delight… Rush has told the groveling mattress retailer to stuff it. After having slept on it, apparently nothing mattress more than the money.
(TheBlaze)…Rush Limbaugh has rejected an advertiser’s apparent attempt to reunite with his show after the company initially dropped its ads from the program following his remarks about contraception advocate Sandra Fluke. The company, Sleep Train, calls itself “the No. 1 Bedding Specialist on the West Coast, and most recognized mattress retailer in the region.”
In an email to Sleep Train President Dale Carlsen (obtained by The Blaze), a representative of the show says that Limbaugh personally considered the company’s request, but denied it considering its public comments following the controversy. (more…)

When I was a mere lad, Texas Independence Day was celebrated in schools with patriotic songs, readings of the Declaration by schoolkids and grave lectures on our role as Texans by our teachers. Even the Mexican kids participated, because anyone who’d read the hallowed rolls of the Alamo and Goliad dead knew that there were plenty of martyrs with Spanish surnames. It was understood by the youngest of us that Texas went from being just the mostly empty northern part of the Mexican state of Cohuila-Texas to the independent Republic of Texas with the signing of this document. Like the beloved United States, from whence the spirit -and some would say impetus – of revolution had come, we won our right to be free through the force of arms, wielded by brave and bold men. Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna, the despot which our Texas Forefathers overthrew was ever bit as evil and prone to predations as Britain’s George III. His one saving grace, that he invented that most American of oral fixations, chewing gum, was more than off-set by his cruelty and duplicitous nature. The self-proclaimed Napoleon of the North, he boasted an army well-officered and well-equipped that had spent the past couple of years putting down rebellions in Mexico. (Mediate) – (h/t PatriotDreamer)…On his program Thursday, Fox News’ Sean Hannity spoke with Steve Bannon (producer of The Undefeated, among various other films) about a series of tapes Andrew Breitbart claimed to have about Barack Obama. Breitbart mentioned the tapes during his recent CPAC speech, sharing that “[w]e are going to vet [Barack Obama] from his college days to show you why racial division and class warfare are central to what hope and change was sold in 2008.” (more…)
